Joe Purton is a Solicitor in the Personal Wealth team at Barr Ellison Law, having joined the firm in 2026.

Joe advises individuals and families on a wide range of private client matters, including Wills and Codicils, lifetime estate planning, trust administration and personal tax advice. He has experience advising both domestic and international clients on tax planning, trust structuring, estate planning and succession matters.

Joe’s legal education and training have given him a strong foundation in private client work, with a particular focus on helping clients navigate complex personal, family and financial circumstances. He enjoys solving challenging problems and providing clear, practical advice tailored to each client’s individual needs.

With a thoughtful and personable approach, Joe works closely with clients to understand their objectives and help them plan confidently for the future, whether they are putting a Will in place, considering lifetime estate planning, administering a trust or seeking advice on personal tax matters.
