Legal 500 Guide

At Barr Ellison Law we represent victims of all types of accident, but our primary focus is on those victims who unfortunately sustain a catastrophic personal injury. Being involved in a serious accident causes devastating changes to people’s lives. This situation is very likely to continue for many years imposing major stress on the injured person and their family members.

Nothing can fully compensate for the devastating effect of a serious personal injury. But where someone else is to blame, a financial settlement can give all-important recognition of responsibility – and provide the practical means for you to rebuild your life.

Even when the law is on your side, getting that compensation cheque can be a long, drawn out affair, but our experienced Personal Injury Team will support you every step of the way. We have an office at Addenbrooke’s Hospital*, one of the country’s leading NHS trusts, putting us in direct contact with the people who need us most.

Take a look at our brief guide – How to Make a Personal Injury Claim in 5 Steps – to gain an overview of the whole process.

No Win No Fee

A ‘no win, no fee’ arrangement is referred to by lawyers as Conditional Fee Agreements. This involves you entering into an agreement with us. We will specify that we will not charge you our fee if we do not succeed in your claim. If you lose your claim, the standard default position in law is that you are liable to pay the defendants’ costs. We protect against this by taking out an insurance policy that will cover these costs.

Second Opinion

We regularly provide second opinions to clients who have lost confidence in the way that their current solicitor is dealing with their case. If you are concerned about the way that your case is being handled, please telephone Grant Incles  on 01223 401007 for a confidential, no-obligation talk.

Come and talk to us.

It’s worth meeting us. You’ll find us sympathetic, keen to help and with a wealth of experience. The initial consultation is free and you will be advised on the merits of your claim, the likely compensation you may receive and methods of funding litigation. Our priority is to ensure that you have a clear understanding of your claim, the procedure that we will adopt to pursue your claim and the potential level of compensation (as well as the challenges involved in achieving it).
